If you know Industria you know how much we love to party together as a team.
We were thinking long and hard about how we could celebrate our official 20th anniversary and the success of the last 20 years. The previous two annual Christmas parties had been cancelled due to the Global Covid Pandemic and we really liked the idea of a summer ball.
We again descending upon the Marriott Hotel in Leicester on Sat 28th May 2022, this time however an exclusive room just for the Industria clan. It was spectacularly decorated with balloons, feature walls, and photos from the last 20 years at Industria.
The team were back together again, with some travelling to the UK from as far as Poland. We were welcomed with Champagne and canapés, everyone looked stunning wearing fabulous ball gowns and tux!
Upon entering the main room we had a professional photographer on hand to take photos of the teams with the obligatory huge numbered lights 2 and 0.
It wouldn’t be an Industria party without a little game time! Andy McKenna was the gameshow host for ‘Play your cards right’. And what a laugh this was, all of the audience were involved and our winner was Megan Parkinson from our Manchester branch winning a substantial cash prize.
After a tasty 3 course meal we had the honor of watching and listening to an inspirational presentation on the history of our company and owner from Charlotte Gent and Mathew Coulson, which as you know was started by Michael Walker our MD in 2002. This was eye opening for myself who has been a part of Industria since 2004, let alone our newer colleagues, some of whom were born the year Industria was started!
After the presentation we had a sensational performance by the ‘singing waiters’ who serenaded some of the staff, some of whom were happier about this than others but equally took it in their stride.
We finished the night with lots of jaeger bombs, dancing, cringe worthy photos on the photo mirror and midnight pizza and chips with a number of us heading into the city centre of Leicester to continue the party.
I am very proud to be a part of this truly incredible company, we have an absolute powerhouse of a team and management structure that are continuing to grow and develop us.
Now we have to plan towards our 21st Anniversary celebrations. Suggestions are welcomed.
Here’s to the next 20 years.
