Industria Staff Insights are featuring Paula Fox, Senior Operations Manager this week.
 

Paula was selected to be featured by Kevin McDermott  who was the focus of last week’s Staff Insights.  Paula has been with Industria for over 5 years now and has become a core part of our senior management team.

What did you do before you joined Industria?
“Before I started with Industria I worked for a procurement company for 3 years based all over the UK with a lot of travelling but prior to that I worked within recruitment for around 12 years.”

What drew you to the recruitment sector?
“It was initially an accident! After I finished college I took a job with a local agency as an administrator and quite soon realised that the idea of helping people into work was really appealing, I never looked back.”

How did you find out about working for Industria?
“I had put my CV online and Michael Walker called me himself, we had an extremely lengthy chat and then following that I met with Amanda Baker our Sales Director for an interview and we talked through some examples of work I had done previously and what I hoped to achieve now. It must have gone well!”

Why in particular did you want to work for Industria?
“When I met with Michael Walker and he told me everything about the company from the beginning including how and why he started Industria, I could see his passion for the company and everything he wanted to achieve and I really wanted to be part of that. I thought I could contribute and I wanted to do my best for him.”  I started in a role as Contracts Manager and quickly progressed to Branch Manager, after a couple more years I had the opportunity of a more senior management role.

Where do you see yourself in the future with Industria?
“Continuing to build my team and the branch by developing all of my staff to be the best they can be. It will be fantastic to gain more new local clients and to watch my team develop into more senior roles.  I am very happy in the role I have here at Industria! As long as my team do their best each day, I couldn’t ask for anymore.”

Do you have anything special planned for this bank holiday weekend?
“If the weather holds out I might have a BBQ and will definitely be watching the boxing! I won’t be going too far though as I go on holiday on Tuesday……. Ahhhhh back soon guys!!”
