Job Description:
The Quotations Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations in response to customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs). The role ensures all technical, process, and commercial requirements are clearly understood and reflected in pricing, supporting the business in securing new and repeat work.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse customer RFQs, drawings, and specifications to determine requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate costings aligned with customer needs and internal capabilities.
- Identify and escalate any risks, concerns, or discrepancies that may impact cost, quality, or delivery.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and business objectives.
Qualifications and Certifications
Engineering Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience
- Entry level experience in a similar engineering role desired (full training will be provided).
- Ability to read and interpret CAD/ technical drawing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Working Hours
38.5 hour week, Monday to Friday.
Early finish on Fridays.
Salary
£28,000- £30,000 per annum.
£28,000- basic experience or entry-level.
£30,000- 1 year plus of relevant engineering/ quotations experience.
