PURCHASE LEDGER ASSISTANT
About Our Client
Our client is one of the UK and Ireland's largest independent box and container manufacturers, with facilities based in Desborough, Northamptonshire, Selby, North Yorkshire, Wellington, Somerset and the latest addition, Limerick in Ireland. Our clients’ converting services range from high volume transit cases to retail ready packaging and can assist in all box design requirements.
To assist the Purchase Ledger Manager generally in the scanning and checking of goods received notes and proofs of delivery, posting of supplier invoices, reconciliation of supplier statements and the generation of payment proposals.
§ Ad hoc projects, reports and tasks as required.
Location – Desborough
Hours of work – 08.15am -5.00pm with 30 mins lunch (Friday 8.15am – 3.45pm with 30 mins lunch)
The Successful Applicant will / have;
Qualified by experience
Ideally a knowledge of SAP accounting software, though this is not essential
Experience of purchase ledger routines
Ability to monitor and maintain supplier accounts reconciliations
Working knowledge of the operation of purchase ledgers
High level of numeracy and literacy & intermediate skills level for Microsoft packages – excel, word, outlook and power-point
