Stores Person

Our client based in Hoddesdon who is a major designer, manufacturer and global provider of cables and umbilicals for use in some of the planet’s most challenging and harsh environments.

Established in 1986, the company has built considerable in-house design expertise and developed manufacturing facilities capable of producing a broad range of products for some very diverse applications.

They are looking for an experienced Stores person to work at their Hoddesdon site to assist with all stores related tasks and ensure continuous supply of materials to the shop floor, maintaining traceability throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical issuing of required materials to Production.
• Ensure all goods received are checked upon arrival and physically labelled.
• Maintaining accurate Stock & WIP levels via accurate transactions.
• Assist with loading & unloading of vehicles in busy periods.
• Cooperate with Production supervisors to discuss priorities and materials required for the coming shift.
• Assist with battening & packaging of drums to prepare for shipping during busy periods.
• Print and distribute pick lists daily, to allow issuing of materials as per weekly schedule.
• Data entry into computer system.
• Assist with stock adjustments when requested.
• Assist with weekly inventory cycle counts.
• Assist with monthly physical stock checks.
• Assist with material allocations when requested.

• Use initiative after finishing tasks.
• Forklift experience min of 6 months Counterbalance.
• All training will be provided.
• Min of 1 Year working in similar role preferred.
• Computer literate.
• No qualifications needed for the role.

Monday 07.00-15.30pm

Tuesday 07.00-17.30pm

Wednesday 07.00-15.30pm

Thursday 07.00am-17.30pm

Friday 07.00am 15.30pm

Contract Type: Temporary to Perm.
